MY EXPERIENCE

Background

CREATIVE SHOCK SOCIAL CASE COMPETITION

October 2019- November 2019

My team and I participated in an international social case competition organized by Creative Shock and was listed as the Top 10 finalists, among more than 200 teams globally. We were invited to participate in the final round of the competition held in Lithuania. Unfortunately, we had to turn down the invitation due to availability. 
I coordinated my team's efforts to:
•    Analyze and forecast profits for a social insurance company at Zulu.
•    Design a marketing campaign to help a Lithuania company to increase public awareness about textile waste and to encourage clothing recycling.

WINNER OF CORNERSTONE RESEARCH UVA CASE COMPETITION 2019

September 2019

• Performed quantitative and qualitative analyses on an antitrust case in the grocery delivery industry.

• Performed thorough research and statistical modeling with information available.

• Used Tableau and Excel to showcase the understanding of the case and analyses.

OFFICE ASSISTANT

February 2019 - July 2019

• Coordinated business meetings and negotiation by utilizing proficiency in English and Mandarin languages.

• Performed online research and data collection for new project analysis to help company make informed business decisions.

• Coordinated company’s international business communication by preparing and translating company documents.

• Organized social events with team for colleagues bonding.

LAB ASSISTANT

April 2018 - February 2019

​At Prof. Grace Xiao Xinshu’s Integrative Biology and Physiology Lab, UCLA

• Performed experiments with lab partners to study genetics of different diseases, including cancer.

• Analyzed bioinformatic data and designed experiments to validate findings.

• Performed statistical analysis using Microsoft Excel to determine the significance of experimental results.

• Validated bioinformatic prediction published in https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-019-09292-w

TEACHING ASSISTANT

June 2017 - August 2017

• Assisted in lecturer’s class preparation and grading of assignments; proctored examinations and helped with exam grading.
